Experteers are professionals volunteering their skills - so they do not expect to get paid for their services.
Moreover, Most Experteers pay for their own travel and living costs while working with you, however, they expect local accommodations to be covered by their "hosts".
While this is not a mandatory requirement for our all our projects, we do strongly encourage that hosts do cover the accommodations for the Experteer for the duration of their stay. This can be anything from a room in your home, to a hotel or rented accommodation - the expectations and details can be figured out during the mutual planning process. We'd like to stress that this an important tangible benefit for Experteers, and an important sign of commitment that you value the Experteer's time and skills and are willing to invest in the project.
Local accommodation is an important tangible benefit for our Experteers, and an important sign of commitment that you value the Experteer's time and skills and are willing to invest in the project.
Beyond accommodation, we encourage you to think about other benefits or perks you could offer to make the Experteer's stay more interesting and enjoyable - e.g. maybe the free use of a bicycle or another vehicle, access to a local tour, co-working, etc. We leave it up to your imagination!
