Yes, in the past we've helped individuals, couples, families, and groups find Experteering opportunities.
With regard to couples specifically, it depends on your situation how this will work, and which membership plan we ask you to pick:
- If you want to Experteer together with your partner (friend or spouse), and you want us to help you find a custom project for you both (or two separate projects at the same organization) that fits both your skillsets you should both sign up for basic membership, and 1 gets the personal support option so we can start taking your unique combination of skill sets into account in our project sourcing.
- If one of you wants to find the right project that fits your skill set and preferences, and your partner can 'tag along' for possible additional support, then only you have to signs up for personal support membership. This means we will look for you specifically, and although we will select for organizations that are open to couples, we won't take into account your partners skillset or preferences in our search.
- If you want to Experteer together and looking for the right project on our site but do not require the in-person extra support, you can both sign up for basic membership. Projects for couples are still relatively rarer, but in our browse, you can already select for projects that are "group-friendly", which includes couples. Also note that you can always discuss the possibility to come together with your partner after we introduced you over email, or once you are on a call with your potential host organization. However, we do encourage you to mention this as early as possible so that all sides can manage their expectations accordingly.
